Much like our comprehensive courses for young people, this course will teach a wide variety of fine art drawing and painting skills for adults. Students will learn the principals of visual measurement, colour theory, composition, as well as how to use a wide variety of materials to render a wide variety of subject matter.
From illustration, to portraiture, to master studies and more… We will leave no artistic stone unturned!
This ongoing course is suitable for beginners, improvers and experienced artists alike.
Participants will gain essential drawing and painting techniques and skills using a range of materials, provided by Turpentyne.
Cost £20 per weekly 2hr session, scheduled and paid half-termly (VAT and all materials included)

PAINTING WITH Mixed media
7 weeks, Wednesdays 6:00pm-8:00pm
5th June - 17th July 2024
This 7 week course will expose students to a wide array of exciting materials and unconventional ways to utilise them to create exciting and dynamic creative paintings. This course will feature a variety of different projects and practical exercises in addition to creative exploration.
This course is suitable for beginners, improvers and experienced artists alike and will be led by Hayley Anderson (aka. Bopa), an artist who has sold her multimedia artworks to collectors from Milan to Miami.
Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills using a range of materials, provided by Turpentyne.

painting DREAMSCAPES
7 weeks, Saturdays 2:45pm-4:45pm
8th June - 20th July 2024
This 7 week course will teach techniques for painting dreamlike surreal landscapes in acrylic through a variety of projects and practical exercises.
• Explore materials and methods for working in acrylic paint
• Learn to utilise composition, perspective and observation to create lush paintings that delight the eye.
• Learn about the history of surrealism in painting, and how to utilise the movement to communicate your ideas
This course is suitable for beginners, improvers and experienced artists alike and will be led by Artist and Founder of Rat Collective, Francesca Patterson.
You will gain essential drawing and painting techniques and skills using materials provided by Turpentyne.
