Our wonderful teacher Rachel Lancaster joined the Turpentyne teaching team in 2018. 

Rachel is a well established fine artist, and has exhibited all over the UK. In addition to numerous awards and exhibitions, Rachel has 15 years experience as a working artist creating art and design pieces for an impressive set of UK and global clients.  She is also well versed in theatre set design and has spent many years as the Head of Scenery Design and Production at Stage and Production House in Northumberland.

Rachel has earned her MFA in Fine Art from Newcastle University and a BA(hons) in Fine Art from Northumbria University. 

Her experience, education and talent bring much to our studio and students. We are quite excited to have her as a part of our team!
